We had a sub this morning (I had a dentist appointment), but I was back by lunch.
This afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, quiet time, P.E., snack, show & share, Boris the Bear (learning all about manners), afternoon recess, and free choice.
We also started our APEX Fun Run fundraiser today. Your child has all the information they'll need; however, I've also attached the letter from our APEX team. Please let me know if you have any questions!
*Please also check your child's backpack tonight. I also sent home your child's PowerSchool account information.
Important Information:
1. We have library and music tomorrow!
2. Please make sure your child has the appropriate transportation tag on their backpack. Let me know if you need a new one or if you have any questions about them.
3. Please complete and return the First Day of Kindergarten question page (that you picked up on the first day of school). If you need another, please let me know and I'll send one home.
4. If your child is having cold lunch and has any nut products in their lunch, please put a note on the outside of their lunch box so we can help direct them to the appropriate table. We know this is an extra step, but it is SO important to help keep all kids safe. Please also tell your child if they have nuts and if they're having cold or hot lunch.
5. McTeacher Night is September 18th at McDonalds at the Y. Kinder teachers will be working from 4-5pm. Please join us at this fun event!
6. APEX Fun Run - This is a once a year fundraiser that will take place on September 19th at around 9:30am. If you can help volunteer, please let me know! This is an incredible event that raises all our PTO funds for the entire year.
7. We have 5th grade buddies this year and will do many amazing projects together. As we prepare for our first project, we are collecting toilet paper tubes. If you have any and can send them in over the next few weeks, we would greatly appreciate it!
