What a great day!
The kinders are getting so good at our beginning of day routine. During morning work we are working very hard on our pencil grip, cutting skills, and letters/sounds. After our morning work, we went right into rotations. Our rotations were focused on fine motor skills, speaking, listening, and letter formation.
We went outside with our kindergarten friends for recess. After recess, we welcomed in APEX for another lesson. We love our time with the APEX teachers and cannot wait for the fun run next week. We still need at least one more volunteer for the run. If you can join us, please let me know!
We did math today, focusing on items that were similar (patterns). We then interviewed our Happy Camper and made them a name book.
Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, creating a class promise, quiet time, snack, show & share, P.E., afternoon recess, and free choice.
I've put communication folders in your child's backpack. Please look through it and return the empty folder to their backpack.
Important Information:
1. Please make sure your child has the appropriate transportation tag on their backpack. Let me know if you need a new one or if you have any questions about them.
2. If your child is having cold lunch and has any nut products in their lunch, please put a note on the outside of their lunch box so we can help direct them to the appropriate table. We know this is an extra step, but it is SO important to help keep all kids safe. Please also tell your child if they have nuts and if they're having cold or hot lunch.
3. McTeacher Night is September 18th at McDonalds at the Y. Kinder teachers will be working from 4-5pm. Please join us at this fun event!
4. APEX Fun Run - This is a once a year fundraiser that will take place on September 19th at around 9:30am. If you can help volunteer, please let me know! This is an incredible event that raises all our PTO funds for the entire year.
5. Picture Day is coming up! Please fill out and return the picture form as soon as possible!
6. We have 5th grade buddies this year and will do many amazing projects together. As we prepare for our first project, we are collecting toilet paper tubes. If you have any and can send them in over the next few weeks, we would greatly appreciate it!
