We had a great {half} day!
We learned all our Punxsutawney Phil, the groundhogs day legend, and made our predictions for tomorrow (4 kinders think Phil will see his shadow and 14 think he will not). If you think about it, let your kinder know the result tomorrow. :) We will do a couple more fun activities related to groundhogs day on Monday.
Mr. Wiser invited all the kinder classes down to the gym to watch the third graders do their Taekwondo performance. It was so cool to see the third graders show off their new skills!
We ended our day with lunch, recess, and a few groundhog activities. Mrs. Mulder joined us for a short PE time, too.
I sent a sign up genius link for the Valentine cookies and supplies. Please let me know if you have any questions!

6. Events Coming Up:
We will celebrate the 100th Day of school on Feb. 11 (Monday). No pressure, but if your child would like to, they are allowed to dress up like their 100 year old self. I will also dress up. :) A note will also be coming home about the 100th Day on Monday, Feb. 4th.
We will celebrate Valentine's Day on Feb. 12 (Tuesday). We don't have a formal party, but we do pass out Valentines to our friends and we DO write all our friends names on the cards. So, if you'd like to come help us pass out cards and read them, you're more than welcome. I sent home a class Valentine's list, if your child would like to get a start on their cards!
Please also help your child make a Valentine's box at home and send to school on 2/12. *Note: Target has some little kits you can buy that are cute and easy! This activity is VERY low stress, so no pressure to make the boxes elaborate!
