We had another awesome week in kindergarten! We started off the week by introducing the letter Uu and our new sight words (big & with). We have been learning a lot about new and old technology in unit 5. We talked about how technology in our homes and in schools used to be very different. We have been practicing a lot of blending CVC words and I am very impressed with how well the kinders are doing!
In math we are worked through story-like problems that asked us to draw one more or one less. We will continue to practice this as we move into number bonds and addition and subtraction.
We had Art-a-Baloo this week! It is always very fun to have our awesome parent volunteers to help teach the lesson and the kiddos always look forward to having art!
Important Information:
-Monday is our 100th day celebration!! Please be sure to have your child bring their 100 items in the ziploc bag if they have not done so yet. Also a loving reminder that your child may dress up as their 100 year old self that day. I will be participating as well :). This day will be filled with lots of super fun 100 themed activities!
-Tuesday is our Valentines Day party!! Please be sure to have your child bring their valentines completed and some sort of box or container to put the valentines they receive in. You are more than welcome to come and be with us on Tuesday while we hand out valentines and decorate our heart cookies. Our party will be from 10:40-11:20.♡
