We had a great day! In fact, we earned our marble party and the kinders voted to watch a movie. In addition to the marble party, tomorrow is Bear Buddy Day! Everyone is invited to wear pjs (or comfy clothes), bring in a small bear (or other Bb animal), and we'll do a number of letter Bb/bear activities.
Things to Practice:
Important Information:
1. Just a loving reminder that ALL at home reading counts for your child's Silverwood Reading Log. Silverwood reading logs are due on (or before) March 4th at 10am.
2. Important Dates:
-Half Day (early release) - February 1st
-Conferences - Feb 13th, 14th, 15th (half day on Feb 13th and no school on Feb 14-15th)
- No School - February 18th - President's Day
3. The online conference scheduler is open. The online scheduler will be open for you to schedule your child's conference for 2 weeks (from 1/28 until 2/11). If you need any assistance with scheduling conferences, please call the office (465-7800).
4. Events Coming Up:
- The letter Bb is this week and we'll be celebrating with pj's and bears! We call it bear buddy day! Students can bring a small bear (or other letter Bb animal) to school! Bear Buddy day is TOMORROW!
- We will celebrate the 100th Day of school on Feb. 11 (Monday). No pressure, but if your child would like to, they are allowed to dress up like their 100 year old self. I will also dress up. :) A note will also be coming home about the 100th Day on Monday, Feb. 4th.
- We will celebrate Valentine's Day on Feb. 12 (Tuesday). We don't have a formal party, but we do pass out Valentines to our friends and we DO write all our friends names on the cards. So, if you'd like to come help us pass out cards and read them, you're more than welcome. I sent home a class Valentine's list today, if your child would like to get a start on their cards!
Please also help your child make a Valentine's box at home and send to school on 2/12. *Note: Target has some little kits you can buy that are cute and easy! This activity is VERY low stress, so no pressure to make the boxes elaborate!
