We had a wonderful day together!
Our day started with a shared read (No Dogs Allowed in School). During our shared reading lesson, we worked on asking questions and using the illustrations to help us read the text. We then went right into reading groups, working on letter ID, letter sounds, our sight words (I and like), annotating text, handwriting, and listening. After reading groups, we went outside for recess. When recess was over, we came back inside for our morning message (focusing on the /a/ sound and our new sight words), calendar, and Daily News. We also worked hard to guess my hidden pictures (all the pictures started with the /a/ sound). During math, we worked on finding the different hidden partners in ten.
Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, PE, quiet time, 4th grade buddies, snack, show & share, and free choice.

1. Communication Folders were sent home today.
2. Our Halloween Party will be on October 31st from 12:40-1:40. We will have a short break and then the Halloween Parades will start at 2:00pm.
3. Picture re-takes are Friday, November 2nd. Please let me know if your child will be doing re-takes or if they were absent the day of pictures and you'd like to have them taken.
