We started our day with a little writing activity. The students did a beautiful job following directions and doing their best work! After writing, we welcomed in Groovy Gabe from the APEX team. Groovy Gabe taught us all about being selfless. We talked about what selflessness looks like and learned a little saying (self less others more). After our APEX lesson, we interviewed our Happy Camper of the Day (Zac) and made him a name book. We will continue to interview and make name books for all our friends until everyone has had a turn.
We were able to go outside for recess with all of our kindergarten friends. It's so fun to watch the kinders play with old buddies and make new ones! They are beyond sweet with each other!
After recess, we came in and did rotations. During these rotations, kiddos worked on pattern block puzzles, floor puzzles, cut out shapes, molded play-doh, and created lego buildings. Obviously these rotations are super fun for us, but I was actually watching fine motor skills, cutting skills, and social skills. These are three big standards for kindergarten and all our students worked very hard!
Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, P.E., math, (analyzing to find two similar objects), fourth grade buddies, snack, show & share, quiet time, and free choice.

Important Information:
1. Please help your child get pledges for the Fun Run. It is our only fundraiser this year! All pledge packets have gone home! Please let me know if you have any questions!
2. Communication Folders came home today!
3. Please tell your child if they are having hot lunch or cold lunch each day. This will help when we do our lunch count. Also, please tell your child if they need to sit at the peanut table (meaning, you packed PB&J or they have items that contain or were processed with nuts). Kinders get very confused and it's difficult to look through every kiddos lunch before they sit down.
4. You can now order spirit wear on line! Every Friday we have spirit day and our kinders LOVE to participate! Please check out the link below and order as soon as possible!
