We began our morning with math morning work in which we grouped objects into groups of "tens and some ones" in preparation for our base 10 math module.
Next, we had morning message, calendar, daily news, and a great recess outside! Afterwards, we came in and began reading groups. During groups, we read and did math number bond and equation practice with different ways to make sums, sight word practice with pattern blocks, handwriting, and listened to a story.
After reading groups we had writing. Next, we had math in which we began some of the base 10 unit and grouped objects into a a bundle of 10 and "ones" left over in preparation for creating teen numbers.
POur afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, art, PE, snack and show and share, quiet time, recess, and free choice centers!

Please continue to practice the Magic Five! If your child can do all the parts, please practice writing lowercase letters correctly, counting past 100, counting on from a number (not starting at 1), and writing all our sight words.
