We had a great and sunny Tuesday!
We began our morning with math morning work in which we practiced addition equations and counting on, addition with ten frames, and subtraction with objects and equations. After morning work we had morning message, calendar, and daily news.
Next, we had a sunny recess outside! Afterwards, we came in and began reading groups. During groups, we practiced phonemic awareness skills and read our reader, handwriting with our decodable book, sight word practice, and listened to a story.
After reading groups we practiced our narrative writing with our "when, where, who, what" chant, and identified the parts of a story with highlighters.

Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, library, snack and show and share, quiet time, 4th grade buddies watercolor project, recess, alphatales with the letter "Yy", spring concert practice, a little extra recess in the sunshine, and free choice centers.

4. Library Books will be sent home tomorrow.
5. An important questionnaire (green half sheet of paper) was sent home last week in communication folders. Please indicate whether or not your child will be returning to Prairie View next year and return this form as soon as possible!
6. Yearbook order forms were sent home last week. Please return them by May 11th.
