We had a wonderful Wednesday!
We began our morning with math morning work in which we practiced
addition equations and counting on, addition with ten frames, and subtraction
with objects and equations. After morning work we had morning message,
calendar, and daily news.
Next, we had a sunny recess outside! Afterwards, we came in
and began reading groups. During groups, we practiced phonemic awareness skills and reading, handwriting, ABC book with letter
"Zz", and listened to a story.
After reading groups we practiced our narrative writing with our
"when, where, who, what" chant, and wrote a story together! Next, we
practiced some of our spring concert songs and then had math. During math we
practiced some addition story problems and equations.
Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, alphatales
with the letter "Zz", an Earth art project, snack and show and share,
quiet time, recess, and free choice centers!

Please continue to practice the Magic Five! If your child can do
all the parts, please practice writing lowercase letters correctly,
counting past 100, counting on from a number (not starting at 1), and writing
all our sight words.

4. An important questionnaire (green half sheet of paper) was sent
home last week in communication folders. Please indicate whether or not your
child will be returning to Prairie View next year and return this form on or before April 30th!
5. Yearbook order forms were sent home last week. Please return
them by May 11th.
