We had a great Monday!
We began our morning with math morning work in which we practiced addition equations and counting on, addition with ten frames, and subtraction with objects and equations. After morning work we had morning message, calendar, and daily news.
Next, we had a sunny recess outside! Afterwards, we came in and began reading groups. During groups, we introduced our new theme and practiced our new letter and beginning sounds, handwriting with our decodable book, ABC book with the letter "Yy", and listened to a story.
After reading groups we had math in which we worked on addition story problems and writing addition equations.

Next, we had lunch, recess, and centers. Our centers included sight words, addition centers, building, and a spring art project. Our afternoon was filled with PE, snack and show and share, quiet time, recess, free choice centers, and spring concert practice!

5. An important questionnaire (green half sheet of paper) was sent home last week in communication folders. Please indicate whether or not your child will be returning to Prairie View next year and return this form as soon as possible!
6. Yearbook order forms were sent home last week. Please return them by May 11th.
