We had a fun day!

We began our day with morning work focusing on math equations, number bonds, and numbers before and after. Next, we had calendar, morning message, daily news, and an "Xx" picture guess. 

Next, we had a fun chilly recess outside. After recess, we had reading groups. During groups, During groups, we practiced our phonemic awareness and reading stories, letter practice, sight word practice, and listened to a story. 

After reading groups we read our next story (Chester's Way) in which we discussed what we liked about the story for our opinion writing. 

Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, library, quiet time, snack, show and share, 4th grade buddies, and free choice centers!

Please continue to practice the Magic Five! If your child can do all the parts, please practice writing lowercase letters correctly, counting past 100, counting on from a number (not starting at 1), and writing all our sight words. Click the picture below to enlarge.
