We had a fun day!
We began our day with morning work focusing on math with ten frames, addition equations, and showing the number in different ways. Then, we had our morning message, calendar, and daily news.
Next, we had a great recess outside. After recess, we had reading groups. During groups, we practiced our phonemic awareness and decoding, sight word practice (look), handwriting, and listened to a story.
After reading groups we finished data on our jelly beans in which we counted color quantities, most and least, and adding two of our colors together. Each student put their jelly beans in a ziplock in that was sent home with them in their backpack today. They have been instructed not to eat them until they are home and have asked permission.

Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, library, and centers. During centers, we did addition equations and number bond centers with dominoes, dice, and linking cubes, and sight word practice.
The rest of our afternoon was filled with snack and show and share, quiet time, recess, and free choice centers.
