We had an awesome day together!
We started our day with morning work (focusing on letters sounds, sight words, and syllables). At 9:30am, Ms. Wolfe joined us and taught us all about how to focus and listen.
Recess was spent outside, running and playing in the snow. Thank you for continuing to send your kiddo in snow gear! They really do love to play in the snow (even if it's really hard/icy). :)
After recess, we had reading groups where kiddos worked on letter sounds, blending, sight words, handwriting, and listening.
When groups were over, we did our morning message, calendar, and Daily News.
Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, an introduction to our new letter (Cc), math (measurement using cubes), music, snack, show & share, quiet time, and free choice centers.

Important Information:
1. The kiddos earned their last five marbles today! They voted to have a PJ and movie party tomorrow. We will be watching an episode of Octonauts. It's educational, short, and cute!
2. Take Home Books are due tomorrow!
3. Please continue to practice the Magic Five. Magic Five progress reports were sent home before break. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like support with practice ideas! I have also attached the next set of sight words to practice. In addition, if your child is ready, you can have them practice counting/reading beyond 100 and place value.
4. Please remember to utilize RAZ Kids for reading practice!
5. Just a loving reminder that our classroom is nut free! Please double check your child's snack - as they cannot eat it if it has nuts (or was processed in a nut facility).
6. Please continue to send in Box Tops. We have ten days left!
7. Please check out the PTO webpage and Facebook page for more important school information!
8. For planning purposes: Please note that conferences will be held Feb. 14-16. Feb. 14 is a half day and Feb. 15 and Feb. 16 are NON STUDENT DAYS (meaning, no school)!
