We had a fun day in Camp Kindergarten!!
Our day started a little differently, as all bus riders went outside to practice the PBIS bus rules and safety procedures. While some of our friends were outside, we interviewed our Happy Camper, and did our message, calendar, and Daily News.
When everyone was back, we were able to go outside for a sunny recess. It was glorious!
We then did reading groups. The students worked on letters, letters sounds, magic reading fingers, reading, patterns, handwriting, and listening.
After groups, we moved right into math. I am in complete awe of how well the students are picking up "hidden partners" and using the addition and equal signs correctly! WOW!
After lunch and recess, students had music, snack, show + share, quiet time, afternoon recess, and free choice centers.

2. Please double check the volunteer calendar and make sure that your dates/times work for you. Thank you, thank you for all your patience as I've worked on/made changes to the calendar. I so appreciate it!
3. Please start practicing the Magic Five with your child, if you haven't already. Homework "officially" starts next week.
Homework:
-Read Take Home Book
-Practice the Magic Five (letter ID, letter sounds, sight words, number ID, and counting to 100)
-Play...especially boardgames as a family!
