We had a great day!
We started our day with a special Christmas surprise! The students did a beautiful job listening, following directions, and using their creativity to make the surprise. :) I will be sending it home at the end of the week and will be sure to let you know (so you can check the backpack and put it under the tree).
After working on our surprise, we did our calendar and Daily News routine. We also focused on letter Cc, the sound, and what type of letter the capital "C" and lower case "c" are. We read Alpha Tales Copycats and guessed different items that start with the /c/ sound.
During math, our target was to measure different items and decide which was longer/shorter. The students did a wonderful job and even "helped" me figure out what I was doing wrong (they played the teacher and explained how to do it correctly).
Just a loving reminder, we will continue to go outside, even when it's cold/snowing. Please send your child with a warm coat, gloves, hat, boots, and snow pants. If you don't have any/all of the above items, please let me know and I can take care of it for you.
Important Information:
1. Homework folders came home today (12-12).
2. Take Home Books were exchanged today (12-12).
3. Reading Groups are canceled next Wednesday (12-21).
4. Winter Break is from 12-22 to 1-2. School resumes on 1-3.
