We had a great day!
Because we don't have school tomorrow, we did our October Art-A-Baloo lesson today. Our lesson was based on the book Go Away Big Green Monster! by Ed Emberley. The students learned all about "smoosh" painting and shapes. We also practiced listening and following directions. :) After art, we interviewed our Happy Campers, did our Daily News, and worked on math. During reading groups, we also worked on initial sounds, sight words, story sequencing, math (hidden partners), and listening (I Wanna Go Home). Our afternoon class also had a Royal Reader today!
Important Information:
1. Homework folders were collected today. If you're child forgot their folder, no worries! I'll grab it on Monday! :)
2. Take Home Books were exchanged today.
3. No School Tomorrow (10-14).
4. Conferences are next week (10/19 - 10/21). Just a loving reminder that on Wednesday, when 1st through 5th graders have a half day, our kindergarten schedule DOES NOT change. AM kinders come from 9:10 - 11:45am and PM kinders come from 12:45 - 3:20pm. There is NO SCHOOL on 10/20 and 10/21.
5. All conference times have been emailed out. Please be sure to respond back to the conference email with a "yes" to confirm your appointment. Thanks to those who have already done so! :)
6. Tuesday (10-18) is the Prairie View Family Fitness Fair. K-2 grades are from 5-6pm, Family Yoga is from 6-6:30pm, and 3-5 grades are from 6:30-7:30pm.
7. October 27th is picture re-take day!
