We had a great day in Kindergarten!
Our day started with a math lesson, where the kinders had to draw "equal" pictures. Meaning, if there were three hearts, the kinders has to draw three of another object. We then transitioned to reading groups, where the kinders worked on letter sounds, phoneme segmentation, their ABC (Oo) page, handwriting (Oo), and listening (Santa's Hat). After groups, we had indoor recess. After recess, we did our calendar and Daily News routine, followed by the introduction of the letter Oo. We read an Alpha Tales book, did a picture guess (of numerous pictures starting with the /o/ sound), and the question can (it was an octopus inside). We also read Mama Cat Has Three Kittens. Our PM class also got to celebrate a birthday with a Royal Reader! :)
