This morning we did our first writing prompt. It was an opinion prompt where the kiddos had to choose their favorite book (If You Take A Mouse to School or Pete the Cat: Rocking In My School Shoes). They then drew a picture of their favorite part and wrote a sentence (I liked...). We then did a math lesson where the kiddos sorted according to colors and counted how many were in each group. The kiddos also enjoyed P.E. and music with Mrs. Mulder. Our morning class got to check out a book at the library today. Our afternoon class will check out their books on Monday.
Important Information:
1. Cookie Dough packets came home today! We are hoping that all families will participate,
as this is our main fundraiser for our school.
2. Picture Day is next Friday (9/25/15). You will find a picture order envelope in your child's homework folder. Homework folders go home on Monday (9/21/15).
3. The
volunteer calendar is done and posted to the blog; however, we
will not start reading groups until Tuesday (9/29/15). This is due to a
scheduling issue. If you volunteer for the take home book on Mondays and
Thursdays or the Friday prep, those will be starting next week
(9/21/15).
4. Homework and Take Home Books will also start next week (9/21/15).
5. If you have not yet put the yellow transportation tag on your child's backpack, please do that tonight. It so helpful and important that we know how your child will be getting home.
