Tuesday News

We started our day with morning work (focusing on number writing, counting, and patterns). We then transitioned into reading groups where the kiddos worked on sight words, shared reading, handwriting, and listening.

We went outside for recess and, oh goodness, was it chilly! It actually snowed a bit on us! Please send coats, gloves, hats, etc. as we will continue to go outside through the winter.

After recess, we worked on our math lesson - patterns and one to one counting/matching. The kiddos did a great job working hard and listening to directions.

When math was finished, we did our morning message, calendar, and Daily News routine. We also read out Alpha Tales book (The Nicest Newt). Once we were done reading, we wrote a sentence using all of our review sight words. The kiddos also sketched and colored pictures to go with their sentences.

Our afternoon was filled with lunch, lunch recess, quiet time, P.E., math centers, recess, snack, show and share, and free choice.

Important Information:
1. I sent home a  "Disguise the Turkey" project. This is a fun - VERY LOW STRESS - project for the kinders! Please let your child use whatever items you have at home! No need to do an extra shopping trip, unless you want to! ;)

2. We have library centers and music tomorrow.

3. Please let me know if you need a new transportation tag!

4. NO SCHOOL - Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 27-Nov. 29

5. Dec. 12th is our Downtown Kindergarten Field Trip. It will look a bit different this year, as we are not taking the STA buses. We will take school buses downtown instead. We still need at least one parent for every two students in order to go. Please let me know if you have questions!
