Wednesday News

We had an awesome day!

We started with morning work (focusing on addition, ten frames, and teen numbers. We then transitioned to reading groups, where the students worked on letter ID, letter sounds, sight words, ABC books (Rr page), handwriting, and iPads (number formation, letter formation, and reading apps).

We went outside for recess. Thank you SO much for sending all the warm gear with your kiddos! They had a blast playing and were much more comfortable!

After recess, we worked very hard on our math lesson (number bonds). We not only did a group activity, but the kiddos also did a dice "game" with number bonds. We followed math with morning message, calendar, and Daily News. Once we were done, we worked on our informational writing (rainbows). We filled in our organizer and will transfer to our final draft paper tomorrow.

Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, literacy/math centers, snack, show and share, quiet time, and free choice. We ended our day with a short video about weather (to go with what we've been studying during science).
