We had a great day together!
All week we have been reading different gingerbread man stories. We've worked on setting, retelling, comparing/contrasting, and much more. During reading groups, students worked on letter ID, letter sounds, sight words, sounding out words, and blending. Students also retold the gingerbread man story, worked on handwriting with Ms. Nora, and listened to Who Will Pull Santa's Sleigh Tonight? We were able to go outside for recess with all of our kindergarten friends. After recess, we finished our gingerbread art and did a gingerbread sight word write the room. The students worked so hard and loved every second of it!
Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, science (animal & plant habitats), snack, show & share, quiet time, and free choice!
A little side note: Your kiddos all brought home their Christmas presents for you yesterday! If the gift hasn't made it under your tree, it may still be in your child's backpack. :)
