Thursday News

Our day started with our shared reading text (No More Monkeys Jumping On The Bed). Today, we split up into groups and took turns reading each line. After shared read, we went right into our reading group time; where kiddos worked on letter ID, letter sounds, sight words, word segmenting, handwriting, and listening. Once groups were over, we went outside for recess. After recess, we did our morning message (focusing on the /a/ sound), calendar, and Daily News. During math, we practiced number ID, writing numbers, and identifying hidden partners. Once we finished math, we practiced our two Veterans Day songs (God Bless America and Grand Old Flag). I will send home the Veterans Day assembly information once the date/time have been confirmed.

Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, music, library, snack, show & share, quiet time, and free choice.

1. Take Home Books were collected, exchanged, and returned today.

2. Communication Folders are due tomorrow!

3. Our Halloween Party will be on October 31st from 12:40-1:40. We will have a short break and then the Halloween Parades will start at 2:00pm. 

4. Picture re-takes are Friday, November 2nd. Please let me know if your child will be doing re-takes or if they were absent the day of pictures and you'd like to have them taken.

5. If your child accidentally brings their camp kindergarten t-shirt home, please return it the next day. I wash our t-shirts every Friday. Thank you!
