We had such a fun day together!
We started with our Happy Camper interview (Finn) and made his name book. We then got ready for our very first fire drill. Even though we didn't like the loud alarm, the kiddos did a great job getting lined up and out of the building quickly. After the fire drill, we had Groovy Gabe back in our classroom. He taught us all about the importance of refueling out bodies and minds.
We went outside for recess with all our kindergarten friends. After recess, we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
We even made our very own Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees.
Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, music, library, snack, show + share, the making of our class promise, and free choice.
Important Information:
1. If you haven't yet, please complete and return all the important school papers as soon as possible.
2. We will be doing our APEX Fun Run on September 20th! Below are the times for the event:
Kindergarten + First: 9:45am - 10:45am
Second + Third: 10:50am - 11:50am
Fourth + Fifth: 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Please help your child get pledges for the run! It's our only fundraiser this year!
3. Please tell your child if they are having hot lunch or cold lunch each day. This will help when we do our lunch count. Also, please tell your child if they need to sit at the peanut table (meaning, you packed PB&J or they have items that contain or were processed with nuts). Kinders get very confused and it's difficult to look through every kiddos lunch before they sit down.
4. You can now order spirit wear on line! Every Friday we have spirit day and our kinders LOVE to participate! Please check out the link below and order as soon as possible!
The on line orders close on September 22.
5. Our amazing PTO has a Facebook page! Please follow them so you don't miss any meetings, events, and/or important details!
6. Communication Folders are due tomorrow (Friday)! Please make sure they are in your child's backpack!
