We had a wonderful day together!
We started with our Happy Camper interview (Callie) and our name book. We then moved right into our morning message and calendar time. During calendar, we practiced counting, number identification, the days of the week, and much more. After calendar, we made our rainbow names. We were able to go outside for an exciting recess with our kindergarten friends. When recess was over, we came in and read Jack Be Nimble. We then practiced putting our own names in place of Jack. Then, Mrs. Snider got out her "real" candlestick and we said the poem for each one of our classmates while they actually jumped over the candlestick. It was SO fun and exciting!
Our afternoon was filled with lunch, recess, P.E., quiet time, music, math, and free choice centers.
Your children are doing a great job lining up after school to go home. Thank you SO much for helping your child memorize their bus number/how they are getting home. Please make sure that if you are picking up your child from school that you arrive on time (3:20 or earlier) each day. We always arrive outside a few minutes early, so you can beat the rush of older children for pick up. If you are going to be late, please call the office and your child can wait safely in the office for you.
Important Information
1. Communication Folders were collected today. They will be filled with new papers and sent home again on Monday.
2. Monday, September 24th is picture day! If you wish to order pictures for your child, please be sure to put the picture order form in your child's backpack (please also tell your child where you're putting the order form in their backpack).
3. Library books came home yesterday in a large plastic bag (labeled with your child's name). They are due back on Wednesday in the large plastic bag.
4. Please tell your child if they are having hot lunch or cold lunch each day. This will help when we do our lunch count. Also, please tell your child if they need to sit at the peanut table (meaning, you packed PB&J or they have items that contain or were processed with nuts). Kinders get very confused and it's difficult to look through every kiddos lunch before they sit down.
5. You can now order spirit wear on line! Every Friday we have spirit day and our kinders LOVE to participate! Please check out the link below and order as soon as possible!
