Today we worked hard and had a lot of fun!
We welcomed the APEX team in for our last lesson - "Do Your Best!" This is something we say often in kindergarten and have referenced the lesson many times already today! We then celebrated our Happy Camper, did calendar, and published our Daily News. We then went outside for recess. The kiddos were able to play and run together! We then came in for another (practice) reading group time. We focused on tapping out sounds, letters, building, handwriting (Mat Man), and patterning. After groups, we went to lunch and recess. When everyone was back inside and ready to go, we worked on our class promise (instead of rules, we do a promise together). The students then went to music, had snack/show and share, quiet time, recess, and free choice centers.
