Thursday News

We had a great day together!
We started our day with a memory book activity, which was followed by our calendar, message, and Daily News routine. THis week, the students have been reviewing the letters/sounds for Vv, Xx, Gg, and Ww, as well as the sight words: has, look, he, and she. We then were able to go outside for a warm and sunny recess! After recess, we practiced making teen numbers. We did our "Say Ten Push-Ups" (ten and one make eleven, ten and two make twelve, etc.). After practicing and showing it in different ways, we used manipulatives to solve four different problems. Once we were done with math, we transitioned to reading groups. During groups, we worked on segmenting sounds, sounding out words, handwriting, vowels, and listening. We ended our day with a little spring concert practice. Mrs. Flynn's class joined us and we focused on the different motions that go with each song.
