Friday News

We had a great day!
We started our day with library checkout. The kinders are doing a great job remembering to return their books and following the "library" rules. After all the kinders checked out their books, Ms. Wolfe (our school social worker) came in to teach us all about strangers. Ms. Wolfe has been teaching social skills lessons to our kinders all year and will join us next week as we begin teaching personal safety. Before our kinders went to music and PE, we also worked very hard on our math lesson for the day - number bonds. Specifically, the kinders identified the two given parts that make up the whole.

Important Information:
1. Homework folders will come home on Monday, February 27th.

2. Take Home Books are due on Monday, February 27th. Just a loving reminder that we have our RAZ Kids subscription. This is a fun way for kinders to practice reading at their level. Please let me know if you have any questions about the program.

3. We will begin teaching personal safety on Monday, February 27th and end on Thursday, March 9th. The lessons are about 30 minutes and will be taught by Ms. Wolfe. If you have any questions regarding personal safety, please feel free to email me (or Ms. Wolfe).

4. The Prairie View drama performance will be held on Thursday, March 2nd. Our AM kinders will attend the 10:00am showing and our PM kinders will attend the 1:30pm showing. There is also an evening performance on that same day.

5. Due to the drama performance, we will not have reading groups on Thursday, March 2nd.

6. Our two snow make up days will be March 17th and May 26th.
