We had a great day together!
We started our day with a "color by sight word" activity. The students focused on the sight words: see, the, we, can, and like. We then welcomed Ms. Wolfe into our classroom for another social skills lesson on sharing and being a good friend. The students were given the chance to practice their new skills during a roll play activity, too. After thanking Ms. Wolfe for coming, we did our calendar and Daily News routine. This was followed by the introduction of the letter Ii. We read Alpha Tales (Iguana on Ice) and did our picture guess activity. We were able to go outside for recess, which the kiddos loved! After recess we did writing, focusing on what we're thankful for and why. During math we reviewed 2D shapes and learned all about 3D shapes. We ended our day with a short free choice time.
