We had a wonderful first day! :)
After our Kissing Hand Activity, we played a name game called Higelty Pigelty. The kinders loved singing, clapping, and learning names! We then took our "Here We Go" picture for our memory books. Wait until you see it! :) So cute! After pictures, we went outside for a short (rainy) recess. Fingers crossed that we get some sunshine tomorrow! :) Once recess was over, we started learning about our calendar and practicing the routine. We then transitioned to math, where we worked on the ideas of "exactly the same" and "not exactly the same." Finally, we ended our day with a little free choice.

I must say, I'm so impressed with your children and their sweet hearts! I'm so excited for our year together!
Important Information:
1. Please make sure that your child has a transportation tag on their backpack and that it matches what they are doing for the day!
2. If you haven't yet, please turn in your volunteer forms! :)
3. Please be sure to send the First Day of Kindergarten page and school paperwork back with your child tomorrow!
4. First PTO Meeting: September 12th in the PV library 6:30-7:30pm
5. FOR GRADES 1-5: Open House September 14th (check times in your back to school letters)
6. In the upcoming months, there are a few "non student" days (aka, teachers have meetings and the kiddos get the day off) to be aware of. The first is October 14th. Please see the district calendar for other "non student" days and events.
