We started our day with science - Animals Two by Two. During this science unit, the students will be studying various critters and will end with the entomologist coming to visit. Today, we specifically looked at goldfish and then labeled all the different parts of a goldfish in our science journal. Then, we transitioned to reading groups, where the kiddos worked on adding sounds to a word, sorting words according to initial, middle, and last sound, sight words, and listening (Peanut Butter & Cupcake). After groups, we went outside for a wonderful recess. We then came back in and did our calendar and Daily News routine, as well as our new letter for this week (Vv). We ended our day with writing - specifically focusing on the narrative introduction. We even practiced writing a few introductions together. :)

2. Our school is hosting the first May Day Celebration on 4-29 at 2:00pm at Prairie View. Parents are welcome to attend.
3. MoMMA Night (replaces Muffins with Mom) will be held on

6. End of Kindergarten Spring Concert will be 6-13 at 6:30pm. Please invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. to join us for this special night. Students need to arrive at 6:15pm and the show starts at 6:30pm.
