What a great day!
We started our day working on your Christmas present. It's a surprise that the kinders have been working on for a while and I know you will love! We then did our calendar and message routine, working on counting and sight words. After Daily News, I introduced the letter Nn and the /n/ sound. We also read The Nicest Newt, guessed what was in the letter can, and guessed different pictures that start with the /n/ sound. We then went out to recess and had a wonderful time playing soccer and attempting to jump rope. :) After recess, we read the book Apple Farmer Annie by Monica Wellington and discussed rhyme, patterns, and using picture clues. Both classes were able to do a little free choice time and our PM class had library today.
Important Information:
1. Take Home Books came home today.
2. Homework folders came home today.
3. We are going to have a very simple party on Thursday (12/17). It will be four (possibly five) rotations. If you'd like to join us, please feel free! The party will be from 10:30-11:30am and from 2:05-3:05pm.
4. We are having a movie, popcorn, and PJ day on Friday (12/18). We will be watching The Muppet Christmas Carol (rated G).
5. Christmas break is December 21 - January 1. School resumes on January 4, 2016! :)
