WELCOME BACK!
What a day in Camp Kindergarten!
Because there was no school on Friday (11/20), the kinders did not get to watch the movie they earned (Horton Hears A Who).
We were able to watch just the beginning today and, if time permits, we will try and finish the remainder of the movie in the next two days. We then went outside for recess. Please send your child in pants, long sleeves, coats, gloves, hats, etc. It is SO cold outside and we can't take kiddos out if they aren't dressed appropriately. After recess, we did our normal calendar routine, where the kiddos worked on counting, place value, and graphing. We then worked on math, specifically identifying shapes that were flat and shapes that were solids. The kinders did a wonderful job identifying each and following directions. We then transitioned to our sight word practice. We did the sight word "see" page and really focused on writing it correctly, as well as reading it in and out of context. Finally, we ended our day with the letter Tt handwriting practice. PM kinders also got to go to library and checkout books.
