We had an awesome week back after spring break! We finished up unit 7 in reading with the introduction of letter Jj and a review of our most recent sight words (are, have, said, two). We are working really hard to have all of our sight words memorized before the end of the year. Please continue working with your child on the sight words we have learned so far.

In math we reviewed addition and how to use our number bond. We practiced connecting our number bond to a number sentence and really looking for the symbols in the number sentence. For example we have learned about "Gus the Plus" and when we see him we know that he connects the two parts and the "whole" is all by itself near the equal sign.

We also did science rotations this week! Each kinder class got to spend 15min in each K classroom and do different activities that all relate to our unit "Uses of Natural Resources". In this unit we talked about "Natural" and "Man-Made" resources and what products come from those resources.  This unit will all be a part of our Science Fest next Tuesday April 16th from 6:30-7:30.

Important Information
1. In your child's backpack, there is an important bag that relates to our science this week. We are hoping your child can bring either something "Natural" or "Man-Made" in this bag and bring it back to school Monday or Tuesday so they can be on display for our Science Fest night.  Please see the note inside the bag with all of the details and if you have questions don't hesitate to ask. :)

2. Communication Folders will come home on Monday.

3. Take Home Books are due on Monday.
