Personal Safety Lesson Two
We reviewed the Never Never Rules:
1) Never touch guns
2) Never play with fire
3) Never ride on wheels without a helmet
4) Never go in water without an adult watching
5) Never use a sharp tool without an adult
6) Never ride in a car without wearing a seatbelt
7) Never touch a dog without asking the person in charge
8) Never cross the street without checking all ways for traffic
1) We use our self talk and ask ourselves "Is it safe?"
2) If it isn't safe or we don't know, we refuse by saying in a strong voice "No, that's not safe."
3) Then, we go tell the adult in charge.

We also learned the "always ask first" rule.
The students learned that even if they're invited or asked to do something that's safe (e.g. go to a friend's house), they still need to ask their adult first.
Just a loving reminder that tomorrow (2/27) is Wacky Wednesday. Your child is welcome to wear a crazy outfit and/or hair!
Important Information:
1. Take home books were sent home today!
2. Silverwood Reading Logs are due on March 4th (by 9:30am). Please return them early, if possible. Tickets will only be issued to students who have completed their full ten hours and I cannot accept late forms.
