Monday News

The kinders earned their movie party. We will be watching Finding Nemo and doing crazy hair tomorrow. The only "rule" is that their hairstyle cannot be distracting to themselves or others. :) We do still have a few assessments to finish, too.

Important Information:
1. ALL library books are due. We will not be checking out anymore this year. Please contact the library directly if you can't find a book, as I do not have access to your child's account.

2. Our End of Kindergarten Spring Concert will be June 13th at 6:30pm. Please feel free to invite all your family and friends! Please note that students need to arrive at 6:15pm. Please do not arrive earlier, as there will be no one to monitor them. WE ASK  THAT YOU DO NOT COME EARLY TO RESERVE SEATS. After taking your child to the classroom at 6:15, you will have time to walk to the multi-purpose room and find your seats.

3. We are so excited to practice having lunch at school! Our practice lunch will be on Wednesday, June 15th during our regular school day. The morning class will eat at 11:00am and the afternoon class at 12:50pm. The menu is pizza (peperoni or cheese), vegetable, fruit and milk. The cost is $2.45. If your child only wants to purchase milk, the cost is .65. Your child is welcome to bring a sack lunch, if they prefer. Please let us know what their lunch preference is (buying lunch or bringing lunch) via email as soon as possible. If your child is purchasing lunch, please put their lunch money in a labeled envelope and send it in no later than Tuesday, June 7th (we need to let the kitchen know ahead of time so they can order enough food for us).

4. On Thursday, June 16th, we will have our end of year “snack-nic”. You might be wondering just what that is! Well, it is simply a time for you and your child to eat a snack together outside like a picnic. So, bring a blanket and small snack and hope for a beautiful, sunny day! The am kinders will snack from 11-11:30am and the pm kinders will snack from 2:30-3pm. When the day is almost complete, the parents will make a victory tunnel along the breezeway at the entrance of the school. The almost first graders will finish their year by running through the victory tunnel to Dr. Gonzales, where they will receive their “ticket” to first grade. Once they have their ticket, summer vacation officially begins!

5. PLEASE NOTE, OUR LAST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN IS THURSDAY, JUNE 16TH! For grades 1st-6th, the last day is June 17th.
