Today was the 99th day of school and, let me tell you, did that cause some excitement! :) We are SO ready to celebrate the 100th day! If you can, come check out the rotunda tomorrow. Both classes made decorations to help our building celebrate!
We started our day with a 100 Bubble Gum (math) activity. We then transitioned to reading groups, where the kiddos worked on reading, decoding, the sight word "you" page, handwriting (letter Dd), and listening (Snowmen All Year). After groups, we went outside for recess. It was chilly, but thankfully the sun was out and that made everything better. :) After recess, we did our normal calendar, message, and Daily News routine. Our math lesson was all about number bonds. The students worked with their partner to roll dice, place blocks in each number bond "part", and then put the blocks together (making the "whole"). Finally, we ended our day with a review of the personal safety "Eight Never Nevers" and "Three Ways to Stay Safe" songs.
